Authentication Issues
Can't sign in with email and password
Symptoms: Login fails with "Invalid credentials" error.
Solutions:
- Verify your email address is correct (check for typos)
- Reset your password using the "Forgot password" link
- Check if your account requires email verification — look for a verification email in your inbox (and spam folder)
- If you originally signed up with Google or GitHub, use that method instead
OAuth sign-in stuck or failing
Symptoms: Google or GitHub sign-in redirects back without logging you in.
Solutions:
- Clear your browser cookies for both the platform and the OAuth provider
- Try signing in with an incognito/private browsing window
- Disable browser extensions that might block OAuth redirects (ad blockers, privacy extensions)
- Ensure pop-ups are allowed for the platform domain
Magic link not arriving
Symptoms: Requested a magic link but never received the email.
Solutions:
- Check your spam/junk folder
- Verify you're checking the correct email address
- Wait 2-3 minutes — email delivery can be delayed
- Request a new magic link (previous ones expire after 10 minutes)
- Try signing in with email/password instead
AI Feature Issues
AI responses are slow or timing out
Symptoms: Long wait times or timeout errors when using GenAI Studio or agents.
Solutions:
- Try a faster model — Switch to Gemini Flash or Claude Haiku for quicker responses
- Reduce context — Long conversations increase processing time; start a new chat
- Check provider status — Visit the AI provider's status page (status.anthropic.com, status.openai.com)
- Simplify your prompt — Break complex requests into smaller, focused prompts
"API key invalid" error
Symptoms: AI features return an API key error.
Solutions:
- Go to Settings > Integrations and verify your API key
- Ensure the API key has the required permissions
- Check if the API key has expired or been revoked
- Generate a new API key from the provider's dashboard
- Ensure there are no extra spaces in the key
Image generation failing
Symptoms: Image generation returns errors or blank results.
Solutions:
- Check your prompt — Avoid prohibited content that may be filtered
- Try a different model — Switch between Imagen, GPT Image, or FLUX
- Reduce complexity — Simpler prompts are more reliable
- Check usage limits — You may have reached your plan's monthly limit
Desktop App Issues
Desktop app won't start
Symptoms: App crashes on launch or shows a blank screen.
Solutions:
- Restart your computer — Clears hung processes
- Check system requirements — macOS 12+, Linux with glibc 2.31+, Windows 10+
- Reinstall the app — Download the latest version
- Check logs — Look for error output in the system console
Agent stuck or not responding
Symptoms: The agent seems frozen and doesn't produce output.

- Check the API server — The sidecar process should be running (check Activity Monitor / Task Manager)
- Verify API keys — Go to Settings and confirm your provider API keys are valid
- Check network — AI features require an internet connection
- Cancel and retry — Cancel the current task and start a new one
- Restart the app — Close and reopen the desktop app
MCP server connection failed
Symptoms: An MCP server shows as disconnected or tools are unavailable.
Solutions:
- Check the server command — Ensure the command path is correct and the binary exists
- Verify dependencies — Some servers require Node.js, Python, or other runtimes
- Check environment variables — Required env vars must be set in the MCP config
- View server logs — Check Settings > MCP for error details
- Restart the server — Disable and re-enable the MCP server in settings
Memory not recalling information
Symptoms: The agent doesn't remember things you told it in previous sessions.
Solutions:
- Check memory is enabled — Verify in Settings > Memory
- Check embedding provider — The local embedding model must be loaded, or a cloud provider configured
- Verify storage — Ensure adequate disk space for the vector database
- Manually store — Use "Remember that..." to explicitly store important information
Integration Issues
Linear integration not connecting
Symptoms: Linear API calls fail or the pipeline won't start.
Solutions:
- Verify your Linear API key is valid and not expired
- Ensure the API key has access to the target team and project
- Check webhook URL if using webhook trigger mode
- Test the connection using the "Test" button in Settings > Connectors
Google Workspace tools unavailable
Symptoms: Google tools don't appear or return permission errors.
Solutions:
- Re-authorize — Your Google OAuth token may have expired; reconnect in Settings

Billing Issues
Payment method declined
Symptoms: Subscription upgrade or renewal fails.
Solutions:
- Verify your card details are current
- Check with your bank for any blocks on online payments
- Try a different payment method

Can't access paid features after upgrade
Symptoms: You upgraded but still see free plan limitations.
